David Owino Ogolla

David Ogolla is a visionary leader and youth development advocate with strong expertise in clinical research operations and organizational development. He serves as the Co-Founder and Director of LightCome Africa Foundation, where he provides strategic oversight in empowering young people through mentorship, digital literacy, financial skills, and transformative leadership programs. David is currently the Chief Operations Officer at the Victoria Biomedical Research Institute (VIBRI), where he oversees clinical research operations, multi-site coordination, and institutional growth within global health research. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Statistics, an MSc in Clinical Research from James Lind Institute, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Entrepreneurship, Strategic Leadership & Innovation Management from Rushford Business School. David is passionate about African youth empowerment, research excellence, and building sustainable community-centered programs that shape future leaders.

Sylvia Buleti

Sylvia Buleti is a dedicated food and nutrition security specialist with a strong passion for mentorship, research, and youth capacity building. She holds an MSc in Horticulture and is currently finalizing her PhD in Plant Science at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT). Her academic and research work focuses on integrated farming systems, targeting solutions for land and soil degradation, food insecurity, and malnutrition among vulnerable communities. Sylvia serves as an Associate Scientist – Agroforestry at CIFOR-ICRAF, where she contributes to cutting-edge research and development programs that enhance sustainable agriculture, landscape restoration, and climate-resilient food systems across Africa. As a Director at LightCome Africa, she brings deep expertise in agriculture, youth empowerment, and community transformation helping shape programs that equip young people with essential skills for economic and social advancement.

Brenda Okuba

Brenda Okuba is a visionary leader and humanitarian dedicated to youth empowerment, family strengthening, and community transformation. She serves as the Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of LightComeAfrica, where she leads strategic growth, program design, and partnerships that equip young people with practical skills, character development, and future-readiness. Brenda is also an experienced Clinical Research Coordinator, working in multidisciplinary research environments within global health and clinical trial settings. Her background in Clinical Medicine and Community Development enables her to bridge health, social impact, and community engagement with excellence and compassion. Driven by her passion for family wellbeing, Brenda is a trained Family and Marriage Counselor, supporting individuals and couples to build healthy, resilient relationships and emotionally stable households. She is widely recognized for her integrity, leadership, and deep commitment to serving communities with empathy, professionalism, and purpose.
